Immunity: Boost It and Keep It in a Good Condition

It’s very important to keep your immune system in a good condition, especially in a cold season or when you suffer much stress. Not only does your immunity protect you from infections, but it also helps your organism to heal faster, if you’re already ill. An illness can cost you both time and money, as you’ll need to visit doctors, skip work and buy expensive medicines. So it’s better to strengthen your own immunity and to lower the risk of getting sick.

To boost your immunity you won’t need to spend money on some expensive pills, nor will you need to radically change your lifestyle. There are some basic methods you can start using right away, and don’t think that their simplicity makes them ineffective. Those methods will make your immune system stronger, and you will much less likely get sick.

Let’s have a look at them.

1. Decrease the intake of immunity-dropping products

There’s no point in boosting your immunity if you keep on ruining it by consuming dangerous products. To start working on your immune system you’ll need to reduce the amount of animal fat, sugar and alcohol you consume.

White table sugar decreases the activity of white blood cells, the ones that kill viruses, and it also feeds the unwanted bacteria and helps them grow. Animal fat increases the time in which your organism responds to threats; and excessive amounts of alcohol deprive the immune system of its essential nutrients.

So first of all, try to swap sugar with natural sweeteners and try to eat less sweet food. Animal fat can be substituted for the vegetable one; and as for alcohol – just don’t drink too much. Your immune system needs about 24 hours to return to its normal condition after you get drunk.

2. Eat food that makes your immunity stronger

There is plenty of inexpensive, common and delicious food that provides your organism with all the necessary elements needed for a strong immune system. Nearly all of those products also have an anti-aging effect, so start including them in your daily meals and snacks.

Here are some products that boost immunity: spinach, red apples and berries, tuna, garlic, cottage cheese and shrimps. You can also add some immunity boosting spices to your dishes: cinnamon, ginger, black and cayenne pepper, cumin and coriander. It’s especially good to eat some hot, spicy soup or stew when you have a cold, because it will bring relief to your stuffy nose; and ginger tea will ease the pain in your throat.

3. Have enough rest and avoid stress

Stress makes your immunity drop, and you become more vulnerable to infections. Try to get enough sleep, relax and don’t overreact to problems. Listen to your favorite music, take photo-walks now and then, find yourself a nice hobby – all this will help you to feel better, clear your thoughts and switch attention from your daily routine. Remind yourself that you’re doing this for your own health, and don’t skip these simple things – however simple they are, they’re also very effective.

As you can see, there’s not much to keeping your immune system in a fighting form: the aforementioned methods are quite easy and even pleasant. In short, you just need to eat healthily, avoid stress and relax – this will make you feel better, have more energy and the risk of you falling ill will be significantly lower.

Diet to Reduce High Cholesterol Meal Plan

Heart diseases are the one of the top leading cause of death worldwide. Most cases of heart failure are caused by unhealthy lifestyle including smoking, drinking, and even eating habits. If that is the case, then we must be aware of the diet to reduce high cholesterol considering the fact that fats are the main contributing factors to develop heart conditions.

The fundamental rule to reduce the amount of cholesterol in the body is to eat foods that are high in soluble fiber as well as vitamins and minerals which can be obtained from fruits and vegetables. But if the cholesterol level is too high that preventive measures cannot intervene anymore, other medical procedures would be necessary. If you are on a cholesterol-reducing program, you have to regularly consult your nutritionist because in some sensitive cases, any changes in the diet would affect the cholesterol level.

The logic is when you reduce your fat or oil in the diet, then it will follow that you also reduce your cholesterol level. It is necessary for you to know what foods would help your cholesterol diet and which will bring you harm.

You can have oat bran or cereal on your everyday eating habit as these contain soluble fibers that help in lowering bad cholesterol. Other sources for fiber would be kidney beans, apples, psyllium, and prunes. Nuts such as almonds and walnuts are also approved. They have the healthy fats needed by the body.

Omega-3 fatty acid is also helpful to the body in cleansing the blood stream and removing bad cholesterol which can damage the heart. This component is seen on fatty fishes like as tuna, mackerel, salmon, and herring.

You may also engage yourself in a lot of exercises if you have very high cholesterol levels. This is a good start to cut down excess fats followed by restricted diets, and then you will surely acquire good results in its proper time not to mention that you have to have the determination and patience. A healthy and straight lifestyle takes courage and consistency all throughout.

You have to remember that all you need to eliminate are the bad fats and that is saturated fat in medical term. This type of body fat obstructs the blood stream and gets cholesterol to a higher level. When the blood cannot pass through the channels, it is hard for your organs to receive its oxygen, as well as vitamins and minerals supply. Among the sources of saturated fatty acids are those coming from animals which also include butter, cheese, ice cream, and whole milk.

But fats are important to the body, and you have to be careful in choosing the foods you have to eat. Vegetable fats are very healthy for the body as this are in liquid form therefore do not have the ability to block bloodstreams. This may be obtained from coconut oil, olive oil, palm kernel oil, and others. If your program is to have a diet to reduce high cholesterol, then basically you just have to perform fasting on the delicious foods containing bad fats. In the end, all the hard work will be worth it because you will be living a healthier and more productive life.
